Although it is winter in Holland, in less than four months, the bulbs will start to bloom again. As you can imagine, this is an incredibly popular time to head to The Netherlands. While so many visitors make sure that the Keukenhof Flower exhibit is part of their itinerary, we have opportunities for many other experiences around this special time of year in Holland.
This year, the famous Keukenhof flower exhibit will open its doors on March 21, 2019 and will close on May 19, 2019. The peak of the blooming bulbs is normally around the third week in April.
The Keukenhof gardens cover 80 acres, on which roughly 8 million bulbs - tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths - are planted every year. More than 100 bulb growers design their own unique gardens for the exhibit.

Flora Holland is the largest flower auction in the world, with more than 35 million cut flowers & plants representing over 20,000 varieties auctioned daily. We can give you the opportunity to go backstage in the auction room and see the amazing production of it all.
Another complimentary experience to Keukenhof gardens is getting an exclusive tour of a local grower. Meet the owner, tour their family-owned company and see millions of blooming flowers. This can be combined with a chance to see off-the-beaten-path bulb fields. We know the best, non-touristy blooming fields where you can stop for pictures amongst the bulbs.
Rather than having lunch in crowded, touristy restaurants within the Keukenhof, we take our clients for an exclusive lunch with a local family, located only a stone’s throw from the exhibit. Guests will enjoy a homemade lunch, talk with the family and see how the Dutch live. If the weather permits, lunch will be served in the beautiful family garden.
We can also arrange for a meet and greet or a lecture with a bulb grower who is exhibiting at the Keukenhof.
